One Thesis. 14 Years of Value Creation. Inside LDV Capital's 2026 AGM

Since 2012, we at LDV Capital have been the only venture fund with a focused thesis on investing in people building businesses powered by visual technology and artificial intelligence.

A majority of the data our brains analyze is visual. Therefore, the majority of the data AI will analyze will also be visual, spanning the light and electromagnetic spectrums across all sectors.

We continue to see significant upside potential across all our funds, thanks to our brilliant entrepreneurs, experts, dedicated team and supportive LP partners. We are actively investing out of our LDV Capital IV fund.

In 2012, friends and strangers told me that our LDV Capital thesis-driven venture fund focused on investing in people building businesses powered by visual tech and artificial intelligence was cute, niche and science fiction. That wasn't the only aspect they felt was crazy! In fact, many thought we were 10x crazy!

  1. Thesis: Visual Tech & AI.

  2. Deep tech.

  3. Solo GP.

  4. Investing pre-inc, pre-revenue & pre-product.

  5. LDV Platform launched in 2012 because we knew the power of network effects which I leveraged as an entrepreneur.

  6. Highly concentrated portfolio.

  7. Get involved without getting in the way.

  8. We do extensive research and diligence before every investment.

  9. Offer term sheets before companies are incorporated, ~23% of the time.

  10.  Geography = 60-70% North America & 30-40% Europe.

Over 14 years later, LDV Capital continues to follow the above strategies because they are working. Some of them are now commonplace among many successful venture capital firms. LDV Capital will continue to push the envelope of what is cutting-edge to deliver value to our partners.

Over the years, we’ve hosted 12 annual LDV Vision Summits, along with numerous vision events, happy hours and community dinners, all aimed at bringing together the world’s brightest entrepreneurs, investors and technologists to discuss cutting-edge technologies and help each other succeed. 90% of our investments originate from these LDV platform events and our community.

Today, we’re thrilled to share a few photographs and stories from this year’s invite-only Annual General Meeting (AGM), a special event where our LPs, portfolio companies, experts and special guests help each other succeed.
