Steve Mann is considered by many to be the world’s first cyborg. He has been using wearable computers that assist his vision since the 1970s. Google Glass has done a good job of marketing and it looks like they are very focused on delivering a viable commercial solution for the masses - that would be great and I can’t wait to use one. 

I believe wearable cameras and next generation camera phones will marginalize DSLR cameras in the next 5to10 years - similar to how camera phones have already marginalized point-shoot cameras which I forecasted in a 2003 article called “Why will wireless camera phones revolutionize the photography industry?
